Resolutions are often created to fix something we feel we need to improve.
Intentions on the other hand allow us to (re)build and restart.
As we move through the first week of the new year, it is important to find conscious ways to speak to ourselves. Rather than trying to overload on over ambitious changes we think we should be making. Let’s be gentle and kind. Let’s listen to our internal needs.
Instead of focusing on fixing ourselves, how about finding better more realistic ways of being who we really are?
Starting by creating new small daily rituals or routines that prioritize our needs gets us moving towards feeling whole. These types of actionable intentions allow us to feel good. To succeed in the deeper desires we are hoping for. They also set the tone for what’s to come.
By allowing ourselves to shine and achieve small wins, we are motivated to continue forward. We feel on track to stay the course and move ahead. We grow. Ever so slightly perhaps, but progress not perfection.
This is the key.
The key to allowing.
The key to accepting.
The key to achieving.
The key to continuing.
The key to being.
Where can you pull back this week and mindfully shift from fixing to growing? What can you do tomorrow to begin being more of who you truly are?
