Required actions are all about following the status quo. Doing what you are supposed to be doing without thought and based on the expectation or beliefs of others. Often resulting in undesired outcomes that feel constricting and counter intuitive.
Conversely, when we feel inspired we are compelled naturally. There is a fluidity and ease that allows situations and ideas to materialize smoothly.
By mindfully noticing if our actions are ‘required’ or ‘inspired’ we are better able to assess and choose how to proceed. This takes effort and desire. It requires a pause or a conscious slowing down to allow yourself to actually take note, assess then act from the heart. Inspired action is energizing, creative and unstoppable. It is the difference between hustle and flow.
Where in your work or life could you shift from required into inspired actions today?
