Sometimes the hardest thing to do is be open and honest about our opinions and fears. We tread lightly to avoid hurting others or encountering uncomfortable confrontations. In doing so, we hold back our true feelings or allow others to design our reality.
Communicating openly during such tumultuous and changing times is a must. It will ultimately allow us to live more peacefully, even in our vacillations and uncertainties. It will define and highlight true connections and create lasting friendships. It may also distance us from some. From those unwilling to express themselves honestly or not able to listen without bias or judgement. This happens. We have to be true to ourselves before pleasing others.
As challenging as this may be, it really allows for opportunities. For us to practice self-care, gain personal clarity and verbalize our unique needs. To help us accept and admit when we are unsure. Be ok when we change our minds. To make time for reflection and alignment. To ultimately become better, more direct communicators that prioritize what matters to us and our loved one.
Today, who can you be more open with? What do you need to communicate clearly and share openly to feel more calm and truthful with yourself?
