We are all experiencing such an unusual situation. Something none of us have ever experienced. So many unknowns. So many kind gestures. So many opportunities for humanity.
I am feeling hopeful for US during this time of social distancing.
For each and every one of you. For doctors willing to do whatever it takes. For the neighbors who started a google doc of those in the area willing to shop or pick up medications for seniors nearby. For those hosting live yoga or fitness sessions to keep people active and moving. For the long-lost friends who are calling. For the restaurants compensating their employees even while closed. For the colleges assisting kids who need to get home with their travel arrangements and costs. In the business leaders assuring their teams that they still have a job and offering them support coaching. For the smiles from those who walk on the other side of the street. For the teachers who are adjusting to virtual learning. For the students embracing change despite the challenges. For families trying to make the best of these moments.
The simple acts of compassion and kindness that I am seeing, hearing about and reading on social media are incredibly hopeful. Notwithstanding the sick and the deaths around the world, we are coming together and finding ways to support and stay connected. Trying to bring calm and spread love, meaningfully and virtually.
Today, how can you spread hope? How can you give love to yourself or others? Whom can you be more gentle and compassionate with? Who can you help or listen to, that may be in need?
Stay safe. #LoveOverFear
