Loss requires time to process. We were thrown into an unknown with countless changes and numerous losses. Suddenly, unexpectedly.
Everything is different now. We are different. Life (re)imagined. Routines interrupted. Regular activities suspended. Unclear about duration, severity and outcome.
We are craving the little things we once took for granted or complained about. What we wouldn’t do for our commute, making school lunches, feeling over scheduled and even a little traffic. All these things on pause. Perhaps temporarily, but today lost nonetheless.
There is the loss of business, jobs, revenue. Lost friends, special occasions, trips and so much more.
Such devastating loss requires healing. To heal we must allow ourselves to grieve.
Today, reflect on what you feel you’ve lost. Give yourself space to grieve. However that looks for you. Only then can we begin healing.
