As many of us grieve the loss of our former lives, mindful choices may be extremely helpful.
Finding ways to be more present and intentional helps shift us out of negative behaviors or patterns. By focusing on the here and now, we are able to appreciate and enjoy small repeated tasks, such as hand washing.
Taking a simple act or occurrence and creating ritual around it, enhances the experience. Allowing space for comfort in the repetition.
When we embrace the task at hand, even in unsettling times, we shift from flight or fight to a place of less reactiveness and greater internal trust. By trusting ourselves, our needs will be better met, our decisions more aligned and we can ultimately feel a little more settled.
This weekend, notice which repeated tasks you can do more mindfully and create a ritual around it.
